Daniel Fitzpatrick
Owner & Master Craftsman
Meet Daniel Fitzpatrick, foremost a family man, but at work, a dedicated master craftsman and hard-working entrepreneur with a strong belief in customer service excellence.
Daniel began to learn woodcraft in 1995 serving an apprenticeship under the tutelage of a reputable Yorkshire wood turning company. After completing his apprenticeship Daniel embarked on a highly successful career defined by key milestones as his wood turning skills evolved and his industry knowledge grew – see Daniel’s Portfolio.
In 2016 Daniel was accepted into the guild of master craftsman, gaining official recognition for his work. And to this day, Daniel continues to demonstrate his ability to consistently achieve the highest standards and a steadfast commitment to customer satisfaction through is work.
Traditional wood turning is a dying trade. Daniel and the few remaining masters of the craft have become keepers of knowledge, ensuring these traditional skills are accessible for future generations to learn. Nowadays, Daniel is intent on schooling the next generation, demonstrated by his commitment to training young people through Oak & Pine by Design’s apprenticeships in traditional and modern joinery techniques.
